This website is a work in progress. We will eventually have many pictures of our computers. Right now we are focused on setting up the building we acquired in Johnstown.

ABOUT US

Colorado Computer Museum (CCM) is a 501(c)(3) publicly supported nonprofit corporation dedicated to the preservation of the history of information technology. Our collection has been building since the 1960s and contains around 25,000 items.  Since 2000, our interactive traveling exhibit has shown the development of the electronic digital computer and has been well received at schools, trade shows and civic and professional organizations.  In 2022, we hope to begin work on a physical location in Northern Colorado. All the funding and work is done through donations and volunteers.

WHAT'S HAPPENING

All aboard, because we are now working on a physical museum we acquired in Johnstown, CO. There is a lot of work to complete.

  • Setup the building for storage and small exhibit
  • Move the collection and continue conservation efforts
  • Design and develop the exhibit space

WE NEED YOUR HELP

We will need a lot of volunteers to help us open the museum. We expect to need help with the following areas:

  • Building repair, electrical, plumbing, painting, maintenance
  • Building cleanup
  • Operations, accounting, bookkeeping
  • Equipment moves and exhibit preparation
  • Special project support

You can help us preserve these precious historical assets by volunteering.

Please use our Contact Form to introduce yourself, volunteer, or ask questions.

DONATIONS ARE ALWAYS NEEDED AND GREATLY APPRECIATED!

At this time we are taking donations through our retro website and a GoFundMe campaign. All donations are helpful, so please consider helping us out.
